FARGO — A familiar fall favorite is returning to West Acres.

The Great Maze is coming back to Fargo for its third year. The maze will cover nearly an acre and is entirely built of cedar.

The maze opens at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, at 10 a.m., and the Guinness Book of World Records will visit on Sept. 14. Maze owner Kathryn Johnson hopes it will become the largest cedar plank maze in the world.

"Bring Your Dog Day" and "College Days" are among the events the maze will hold this fall.

"They're going to experience a huge maze with a scavenger hunt inside. And then we have lots of fun activities for the family. We have lots of games, a huge corn pit, photo opportunities, and of course, we'll have our locally grown pumpkins Pumpkin Patch later in the fall," Johnson said.
