Olly Murs has been the latest star to pull the big switch at the Blackpool Illuminations.

The ‘Troublemaker’ singer wowed visitors with his hour long set, and the night of fun was topped off with performances from fellow X-Factor songstress Louisa Johnson, the rockband Toploader, and a range of local performers.

From the outset, it was clear that Murs was who the crowd had turned up for, with chants of “Olly Olly Olly” being echoed across the promenade.

For Olly, being called up for the job is an honour, especially in a town that reminds him so much of his childhood.
