A pair of Philadelphia Eagles legends have kicked off their college coaching careers. But unfortunately, neither began the 2025 season with a win.

Former Eagles quarterback Michael Vick, now the head coach at Norfolk State, and former star wide receiver DeSean Jackson, Delaware State’s head coach, both lost on Thursday.

Vick’s Norfolk State lost, 27-7, at home to Towson while Jackson’s Delaware State squad lost, 35-17, to Delaware in their season openers.

Neither result was a surprise for the former Pro Bowl Eagles. Vick and the Spartans were listed as 9 1/2-point underdogs against Towson. Delaware, which made the jump to the FBS this season, was a 30 1/2-point favorite against Jackson’s Hornets.
