A man was arrested near Lake Eola in Orlando after admitting to killing a swan on Friday, the Orlando Police Department said.

A parkgoer witness told Orlando Families, Parks and Recreation ranger, and OPD that they saw someone trying to carry the swan outside the park. Latest Forecast

OPD responded to the area of North Summerlin Avenue and Robinson Street near Lake Eola after reports of a man carrying a dead swan.

Upon arrival, officers located the suspect, Adonis Leyva, a 33-year-old Black male, who admitted to killing the swan.

The swans are an iconic part of Lake Eola Park. Parkgoers on Friday told WESH 2 they were shocked someone was accused of killing a swan.
