ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A man who routinely went swimming near a home on Lake Lanier drowned Wednesday night. His body was recovered early Thursday, according to the Hall County sheriff’s office.

Just before 9 p.m., deputies got a 911 call from a woman who said her landlord didn’t return after going for a swim near a private dock on Sportsman Club Drive.

Brent James Williams, 66, was recovered by the Hall County Fire Rescue’s marine rescue team 10 feet away from the dock and about 12 feet underwater, they said.

There is no foul play suspected in his death. An autopsy will be performed.
