NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WJBF) - Labor Day weekend has arrived, the unofficial end of the summer for these kids enjoying a chance to make a splash.
“It feels good,” said Ben Estes from Highland Springs Middle School.
But even while they're playing around this weekend, for some it calls up another feeling not so good.
“I'm sad. I'm a summer girl. I want heat and sun and water all the time,” said Stepanie Perkins.
“I love the summer. You get that summer vacation vibe traveling,” Nnamudi Amobi.
But as Labor Day draws near others are happy to put summer in the rearview mirror.
“I like the fall, the fall weather,” said Robert Adams.
But it seems the hot summer fans got shortchanged in August, one of the coolest on record for our area.
