COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WXIX) - One person is injured in an officer-involved shooting with Colerain Township Police, Hamilton County dispatch says.

Hamilton County police dispatch says Colerain Township Police responded to a call for a domestic disturbance around 8:20 p.m. Friday.

When officers arrived, according to dispatch, the suspect ran, leading to a brief chase.

The suspect then exited his vehicle and began shooting at officers, hitting their police cruisers, officials say.

Police returned fire, hitting the suspect.

Authorities say all officers are okay and that the suspect was taken to UC Medical Center for treatment.

The extent of the suspect’s injuries is currently unknown.

Police are still investigating the incident.
