ST. LOUIS — A man died and three people were hurt in a crash involving two motorcycles and a Metro bus Friday morning near the Delmar Loop business district, police said.

Police said Alvin Garvin, 31, died at a hospital after his motorcycle collided with the bus at Skinker Boulevard and Enright Avenue at about 11 a.m.

Police said Garvin's motorcycle and another motorcycle were northbound next to each other on Skinker approaching the intersection when the southbound bus made a lefthand turn into the path of the motorcycles.

Police said the second motorcycle swerved to avoid the collision and the driver, a 19-year-old man, was thrown from it. He was hospitalized with serious injuries.
