GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - With the new school year underway, the Green Bay Police Department and Green Bay Area Public Schools are urging drivers and students to make safety a top priority.

At a joint event Friday morning outside the Joannes Community Policing Center, officials highlighted key reminders: slow down in school zones, watch for stopping school buses, and stay alert for students walking or biking.

Guidance for students focused on pedestrian and bicycle safety.

The agencies asked drivers, parents and students to stay cautious as routines ramp up for the 2025–26 school year.
