Officials have announced that extra patrols will be active both on land and water, urging residents and visitors to drive safely and remain sober.

They also advise travelers to check their spare tire pressure and inform someone of their travel plans for safety.

Heavy traffic is anticipated, especially on highways, as the weekend progresses.
