Fashion brand Claire’s is closing hundreds of stores, including three in the midstate, as its North American operations are acquired by a company based in Maryland.

The company announced in a bankruptcy filing on Monday that it is closing stores in Lancaster, York, and Adams counties.

Claire’s is closing its stores at Tanger Outlets Lancaster at 311 Stanley K Tanger Drive in East Lampeter Township, Lancaster County; at the York Galleria mall at 2899 Whiteford Road in Springettsbury Township, York County; and at the Outlet Shoppes at Gettysburg at 1863 Gettysburg Village in Mount Joy Township, Adams County.
