23XI Racing drivers Tyler Reddick, Bubba Wallace , and Corey Heim, along with Front Row Motorsports' Zane Smith, could lose their seats before the 2026 season. This could become a possibility if both teams lose their charters in the legal battle against NASCAR .

The Athletic's Jordan Bianchi confirmed that both teams would "be out of business" after the 2025 season if they lose their charters. That puts all their drivers at high risk. Making matters worse is the lack of enough openings in the Cup Series for the following year. The trial is set to begin on Dec. 1. Addressing the topic while answering fan questions, Bianchi wrote :
