AUBURN, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) -- Two people were indicted on animal abuse charges related to the mistreatment of their dogs.

District Attorney Brittany Grome Antonacci announced on Friday, August 29, that 45-year-old Kenneth Sulgar and 50-year-old Laura Hendrickson, both residents of Auburn, were indicted by a Cayuga County Grand Jury on one count of Aggravated Cruelty to Animals, a Class E Felony; two counts of Overdriving, Torturing and Injuring Animals, Failure to Provide Proper Sustenance, Class A Misdemeanors; two counts of Abandonment of Animals, a Misdemeanor; and one count of Failure to Provide Proper Food and Drink to an Impounded Animal, a Misdemeanor.
