CANON CITY, Colo. (KKTV) - The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office confirmed deputies were on scene of an active barricade situation with shots fired in Cañon City Friday night.

As of 7:17 p.m., deputies said the barricaded suspect was located at the 1400 block of Chesnut Street.

At this time, deputies could confirm that shots had been fired, but did not say if anyone was injured.

Everyone is asked to avoid the area while deputies respond.
