TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - Check out Tyler’s JaMichael Cook make a leaping catch over a defender to give the Lions the lead at Rose Stadium Friday night.

The score put Tyler up 21-14 over Marshall.

During half-time, former Lion Kendall Hunter, who graduated in 2007, was inducted into the 2025 athletic Hall of Fame.

"Hunter burst onto the scene quickly in his JT career, running for more than 1,000 yards as a sophomore in 2004, earning district newcomer of the year accolades,“ the school said in a release. ”By his senior season, Hunter was the most feared threat on a Lions team that was back to their winning way.”

After graduation, Hunter accepted a scholarship to Oklahoma State University and a career in the National Football League.
