Local scenes of Falmouth, including Quissett Harbor, Woods Hole, Nobska, Bourne Farm, St. Barnabas’s Church and more are the subject matter for a show of watercolor paintings by Kathleen Taylor of Sippewisett.

The show will be on view from September 2 through 30 in the Sigel Gallery at the Falmouth Art Center.

An opening reception is scheduled for Friday, September 12, from 5 to 7 PM.

Ms. Taylor has been painting watercolors for more than 40 years.

She is from a family of artists and with her mother, Anna Taylor, started painting holidays in Ireland. Later she studied at the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Association in Birmingham, Michigan.

She has taken workshops with many famous watercolor artists, including Charles Reid, Janet Rogers, Paul George and Vladislav Yeliseyev.
