In a narrow 6–5 vote, the Hamilton County School Board has ended its decade-long partnership with Centerstone , a nonprofit mental health provider that has offered in-school counseling services to students across the district.

The services are paid for using the students' insurance, and costs the schools nothing.

Those who voted to end the partnership:

Steve Slater (District 1)

Ben Daugherty (District 2)

Joe Smith (District 3)

Jodi Schaffer (District 7)

Larry Grohn (District 8)

Gary Kuehn (District 9).

Those who voted to keep the partnership:

Jackie Thomas (District 4)

Karitsa Jones (District 5)

Ben Connor (District 6)
