DULUTH, Minn. — School returning and cooler weather means a family favorite Duluth event has concluded for the season.

“Movies in the Park” at Leif Erickson Park wrapped up its 2025 lineup on Aug. 29, and in the spirit of “back-to-school”, the event finished the summer off with a classic in “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off”, as moviegoers propped up a chair or laid down a blanket, and took in the beautiful night.

The summer showings, hosted by Downtown Duluth, have been a family favorite for years, with showtime always scheduled for whenever the sun officially sets.
