BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - The Rudders Rangers dropped its season opener to the West Fork Gators Friday night at Merrill Green Stadium 48-7.

West Fork built a 21-0 lead less than 13 minutes into the game and never looked back.

Rudder was able to get on the scoreboard midway through the second quarter on a 4 yard touchdown run by A.J. Morrison, but that was all the scoring the Rangers would have on the night as they drop their season opener at home.

Rudder (0-1) will be on the road next week as they travel to El Campo to take on the Rice Birds. Kickoff is slated for 7pm.
