PEORIA, AZ (AZFamily) — People in North Peoria are sounding the alarm over cellphone dead zones and fear it’s putting lives at risk.
Spotty cell phone service has been an ongoing issue within the Vistancia community , and now neighbors are voicing their concerns. “It could mean someone’s life, and the delay could mean someone’s life,” said resident Kathy Bartelheim.
For several years, Bartelheim says she’s been battling a lack of cellphone service, and at one point, had to call 911 11 times when her neighbor’s house caught fire, because the call kept dropping.
“I was running back and forth from the driveway across the street trying to find a spot where I could get a signal,” she said.
