SOUTH KINGSTOWN – What could have been the chance for a pregame celebration turned into a reminder.

The University of Rhode Island enters this season a championship football program, and the Rams intend to keep it that way.

Campbell was a problem for the majority of the opening half before the hosts cleaned up some of the mistakes that had them trailing into the locker room. Antwain Littleton Jr. and Marquis Buchanan capped strong personal performances that ultimately pushed the Rams over the finish line on Aug. 29.
