Taipei Zoo’s female panda Yuanyuan celebrated her 21st birthday Saturday morning with hundreds of fans' blessings while she ate her ice cake.

The panda’s ice cake this year features a carrot-made Winnie the Pooh lying on a beach.

Taiwan’s Taipei Zoo currently possesses three pandas, all female.

Yuanyuan was shipped to Taipei City from China in 2008 with Tuantuan, a male panda.

The panda couple gave birth to two female panda cubs, Yuanzai and Yuanbao, both in Taipei Zoo.

Tuantuan, the male panda, died at the age of 18 years old on November 19, 2022. Taipei Zoo holds birthday events for all its three remaining pandas.
