Two of the top high school football coaches in Georgia were matching wits from the opposing sidelines Friday night at Pooler Stadium as Kyle Hockman and his host New Hampstead squad took on John Ford's Effingham County team in a highly anticipated non-region matchup.

Ford was without standout starting quarterback Tucker Perkins, who injured his ankle in a loss to Houston County last week, and Hockman was getting back his nephew, senior wide receiver Ben Hockman, the Cornell commit who missed the first two games with a hamstring issue.
