OMAHA, Neb. —

A Nebraska native got a big sendoff before his big match.

Terence "Bud" Crawford is making his way to Las Vegas to go head-to-head with Canelo Alvarez.

The boxer and long-time Omaha resident was greeted by fans as he gets ready for one of the biggest fights of his life.

Husker Coach Matt Rhule showed up and had nothing but good things to say about Crawford.

"He showed us what is means to be in Nebraska, what it means to be a Husker, what it means to be great, to not be satisfied, to just say, 'you know what?' I'm the best to have a legacy of being someone that no one else can beat. He's the best of the best," Rhule said.

The fight against Alvarez is scheduled for Sept. 13 at Allegiant Stadium.
