Dansby Swanson hit two homers and drove in a season-high six runs as the Chicago Cubs beat the Colorado Rockies 11-7 on Friday night to keep pace with NL Central-leading Milwaukee.

Swanson had the 10th multi-homer game of his career and first since 2023 against Cincinnati.

Ian Happ homered and doubled twice and Michael Busch also went deep for Chicago, which ended a three-game skid and remained 6 1/2 games behind the Brewers, who beat Toronto 7-2 on Friday night.

Cubs rookie right-hander Cade Horton (9-4) allowed two runs on six hits in five innings with four strikeouts.

The last time Swanson had six RBIs was 2021 when he was with Atlanta.
