After a 41-0 blowout win to open the 2025 season, Jefferson County’s offense sputtered in a 41-7 loss to defending Class 5A State Champion Sevier County on Friday night.

What head coach Spencer Riley hoped could be a get-back game was silenced alongside his offense all night long by the Sevier County defense.

The Patriots’ offense mustered just 228 total yards, with quarterback Mason Henderson turning the ball over on an interception to end the first half of the game. Henderson went 9-15 passing on the night and was dropped for a sack.
