FARGO — The Fargo Davies football team has made the power run its identity over the last few seasons.

One of the ultimate questions heading into the 2025 season was who might fill the shoes of former Eagles all-state running back Malachi Werremeyer as the lead back in the Power-T formation.

Try 13 of them.

Davies used a baker's dozen in the run game Friday, dishing the ball to 13 different rushers in a 42-14 ground-and-pound win over Minot in the season-opener at Davies High School in North Dakota Division 3A play.

No. 2-ranked Davies (1-0) finished with 381 yards of offense, 344 of which came via the ground attack.
