INDIANAPOLIS – Game-changing wide receivers impact plays even when they're not the primary target.

Franklin Central sophomore wide receiver Markell Bailey is quickly developing into a big-play threat for the Flashes and his presence helped set up the winning score Friday against Roncalli.

Bailey showed off his long speed with a 53-yard touchdown in the first quarter. In the second, Bailey used his shiftiness to beat his man off the line and quickly get downfield for a 27-yard touchdown catch. Late in the fourth, the Royals were not going to let Bailey beat them, bracketing him with a cornerback and a safety over the top. With increased attention on Bailey, Franklin Central's other options had more room to work, and they made the visitors pay.
