FRANKLIN, Texas (KBTX) - It was a back and forth battle for the first half of the game, but the Cougars took control in the third quarter and never let off the gas.

China Spring struck first with a quarterback keeper touchdown from Jaxon Knapp, giving the Cougars an early 7-0 lead. Franklin responds on their next drive with a short touchdown pass from Walker Anderson to AJ Phillips. The Lions tie the game at 7 a piece. The Cougars fire back with a 30 yard touchdown run from Chrishon Gregory, putting China Spring ahead at 14-7. Gregory will strike again with a 90 yard touchdown pass from Knapp, widening the lead to 21-7.
