Cyndi Lauper didn’t headline a show in Vancouver for some time after her 1983 breakout debut She’s So Unusual.
But the singer behind such classics as She Bop and Girls Just Wanna Have Fun left a lasting impression on local fans when she opened for Tina Turner on May 27, 1997, at Rogers Arena , then known as GM Place.
