STRATFORD – The latest chapter of the Stratford-Edgar football saga saw both defenses relent little in pursuit of taking out one of their greatest rivals.

On Friday, Aug. 29, it was the Wildcats standing tall as Edgar avenged a loss in this game last season, knocking off the Tigers 14-0 on their home field, forcing the first Tiger shutout since 2022.

The last team to shut the Tigers out was Edgar three seasons ago, and that game finished with the exact 14-0 score the two contenders played to on Friday.

The win pushes reigning Division 7 champions Edgar’s record to 2-0, but the Wildcats' hunger hasn’t nearly been satiated.
