LAS VEGAS (KLAS) --- A Las Vegas family is searching for answers after a man was found dead in a burning car this month.

"David was the life of the party," Latisha Burton Gilbert said of her son.

Burton Gilbert told 8 News Now she is now remembering his life, which was suddenly stolen.

"He was a good person for sure," Lamondre Burton said. 'He had a good heart."

Burton shared everything he will miss about his older brother, David Weaver, 32.

"David loved who he loved," Burton Gilbert said of her son. "David always made sure that he checked on you."

Weaver died on August 17, according to the North Las Vegas Police Department.

Officers discovered his body in a burning car around 3:00 a.m. along Mary Dee Avenue, in a neighborhood near Civic Center Drive and Cheyenne Avenue.
