As a member of Gen Z, I find it incredibly hard to switch off.
Admittedly, I am often glued to my phone, either mindlessly scrolling on social media or engaging in group chats with friends which leads to me having a worryingly high screen time.
So when I got the opportunity to escape to a tropical Caribbean island 4,600 miles away from home on a wellness trip - I dropped my mobile and grabbed it with both hands.
I'd never heard of Aruba before, but a quick Google search showing its world-renowned beaches, crystal clear waters and promise of year-round sunshine was enough to get me on that plane.
So off I went with a 23kg suitcase, high hopes of relaxation and some Insta-worthy snaps, but little did I know I'd experience much more than I bargained for.
