New Philadelphia made things interesting late before West Branch hung on.

BELOIT — Jeremiah Thomas’ third touchdown gave West Branch a comfortable 21-point lead with 3:18 remaining.

Then New Philadelphia's offense roared to life, providing fireworks to rival the new celebratory light show at refurbished Clinton Heacock Stadium. Quakers quarterback Parker Rieger threw touchdown passes to TR Harriman (38 yards) and CJ Carlisle (16 yards) within 76 seconds to slice the Warriors' lead to eight.

But Thomas' final run of the game covered 21 yards, sealing West Branch's 21-13 victory over the Quakers on Friday, Aug. 29 .
