MEDINA, Ohio – Each year, U.S. News & World Report releases a “Best High Schools” ranking and over the last several years, Medina High School has swiftly moved up in the ranks.
In the 2025 report, Medina High School ranked number 60, up from number 68 in 2024. In 2021 the high school ranked 129 out of 941 schools statewide. This new ranking puts Medina High school in the top 6 percent of schools in the state. MHS was also recognized as number 19 in the Cleveland Metro Area and number 2 in Medina County.
The U.S. News & World Report rankings are based on a comprehensive review of student performance on state-required assessments, graduation rates and the school’s success in preparing students for college and post-secondary opportunities.
