Criminals have caused thousands of pounds' worth of damage to a charity shop in Coventry . Sense in Willenhall was broken into on Wednesday (August 27).

Vandals are believed to have smashed the glass door early Wednesday morning. No items were taken, but the city store needed significant repairs and lost two days of trading.

Staff say it is the second time the shop has been broken into this year, which is 'deeply upsetting.' Sense is a leading charity that supports disabled people with complex needs and provides expert support, including education, play schemes and specialist holidays.

Area Manager Simone Tiano is appealing to the community to support the Willenhall store by donating money and unwanted items or by volunteering. Items can be dropped off at Sense on Remembrance Road
