Discounted child Leap fares extended to Dublin commuter towns

Children in Dublin’s commuter towns will benefit from cheaper public transport fares from next week, as the National Transport Authority (NTA) extends discounted Leap products.
From Monday, September 1, children under 18 travelling on public transport within the Dublin Commuter Leap Fare Zone will be eligible for a 67pc discount compared with adult fares.
The move brings outer suburban areas into line with the discounts already available within the Dublin City Zone.
The change follows a series of fare adjustments earlier this year, which redrew boundaries to create four new Leap fare zones across Dublin and its surrounding commuter belt.
