Iappreciated the April 22 story, “ Stakes high as Minnesota enforces wild rice sulfate standard .” I know the science behind our findings can be difficult to understand, but the story explained it perfectly. We can only make sound policy about this issue if people understand how introducing sulfate to lakes and rivers affects wild rice. The article went a long way toward that.
