David Noce threw a pair of touchdown passes, including a 5-yarder to Jordan Thomas in the fourth quarter as Deptford pulled away for a 16-7 win over Florence in Florence.

Noce also connected with Jayden Love for a 33-yard touchdown in the second quarter and Luke Vilary booted a 37-yard field goal to give the Spartans a 10-0 lead at halftime.

The Flashes cut their deficit to three on a 5-yard TD run by Leaire Williams in the third, but Deptford held on to win its first season opener since 2022.

Noce completed 9-of-11 for 71 yards and Love ran for 101 yards on 15 carries.

Kaden Roane had eight tackles, a sack, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery for the Spartans.

Julian Jean-Baptise rushed for 85 yards on 13 carries for Florence.
