SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - After a work week filled with nice weather, rain will move in for the holiday weekend.

SATURDAY

Expect a few showers in the morning with increasing coverage this afternoon and evening, especially in western Siouxland. Although communities along and west of I-29 will see the most rain today, those of you in eastern Siouxland still have the chance for scattered showers.

In western Siouxland, the rain could be heavy at times and lead to minor flooding. One to two inches of rain could fall today along and west of Highway 81. Pockets of more than two inches are possible.

Clouds and rain will keep temperatures cool in the west where highs in the upper-60s and low-70s are expected. Less rain to the east will mean warmer temperatures as highs climb into the upper-70s.
