A tourist has died after he fell unconscious on the Frozen ride at Disneyland.

The man, 53, was with his wife who suddenly noticed he had fallen into a coma. She alerted staff and first aid responders boarded the ride and performed CPR. The tourist was rushed to hospital after being taken from the theme park in Hong Kong, but was pronounced dead shortly after.

"The resort deeply regrets the passing of the guest and will do its utmost to provide necessary assistance to his family," a resort spokesperson said. "The initial investigation has shown the incident is not related to ride safety."
