A man in England recently won more than $1 million after using his late father’s birth date and death date in a national lottery .

Darren McGuire, 46, a gas engineer from Bolton, England, won the massive lottery prize picking numbers related to those dates — March 22, 1948, and Sept. 21, 2011 — earlier this summer, per the BBC .
