The Post spoke with Ian Villa, Whisper Aero's co-founder and chief operating officer, about being an expanding technology startup in Tennessee.

As the company grows, Villa says the company is looking to hire "the best and the brightest here in Tennessee." He says leadership would like for local people to apply as they prepare for a large push for jobs by early next year.

The electric propulsion company has partnered with Tennessee Tech University, received state funding for its flight test center and has contracted with the U.S. Department of Defense – but Villa says Whisper Aero is not stopping at big ideas for flight. He tells the Post how the company wants to be a part of everyday life.
