A Silver Alert is in effect Saturday in Los Angeles County for a missing at-risk 71-year-old man last seen in South Los Angeles.
Steve Renner was last seen at approximately 8 a.m. Wednesday near Vernon and Vermont avenues, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department Friday.
Renner was described as a 6-foot-2-inch tall man weighing 160 pounds with white hair and blue eyes. It was unclear what he was wearing when he was last seen.
Anyone with information regarding Renner’s whereabouts was urged to call 911.
The CHP established the Silver Alert program to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
