Porch fire in Hartford's West End displaces five families

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — No injuries were reported when multiple porches caught on fire early Saturday morning in the West End of Hartford.

As the fire was extending to the third floor, crews managed to bring the flames under control at around 1:30 a.m.

A partial collapse of the rear porches prompted fire crews to remain on scene and conduct overhaul operations.
