With students heading back to school on Tuesday, the Lethbridge School Division is ready to welcome them, and to open the doors of their newest elementary school.

Christine Light, board chair, said there is a boost of energy around the division knowing students are back soon.

“When students arrive back in our buildings, they give life to our spaces and I certainly know that staff is excited to connect with students,” said Light.

She said the division hosted a welcome back breakfast on Friday to formally kick-off the school year at Chinook High School.
