Athlete of the Week voting is back.

Following a short summer hiatus it’s time for Monroe News readers to select the first Monroe County Region Athlete of the Week of the 2025-26 school year.

The poll is sponsored this year by ModForce Home Solutions.

Voting will remain open until 11:59 p.m. Wednesday.

Here are the credentials for the 10 candidates for the week of Aug. 25-31.

Luke Beaudrie, Jefferson football : Scored 4 TDs, ran for 174 yards, passed for 142.

Luke Bishop, Dundee soccer : Set a school record with 7 goals in a game against Onsted.

Jaxon Bolster, Ida football : Kicked two field goals including a school-record 49 yarder in his first high school football game also had a hat trick in soccer win over Dundee and netted five goals against Onsted.
