Employees and medical staff of Pendleton Memorial Methodist Hospital are gathering to mark the 20th anniversary of the hospital’s closure following Hurricane Katrina. The reunion is taking place at Mid City Rock 'n Bowl, featuring bowling, music, food, drinks, snowballs, cupcakes, and a slide show highlighting the hospital’s history.

Pendleton Memorial Methodist Hospital, located at 5640 Read Blvd. in New Orleans East, opened in 1968 and later became known simply as Methodist Hospital. The not-for-profit facility served the surrounding community until January 2005, when it was purchased by Universal Health Services.
