A man in his 20s has been left with 'serious injuries' following reports that he was 'chased' into a bar and stabbed.

Greater Manchester Police have confirmed that they were called to reports of a stabbing on Higher Road in Urmston at around 9.30pm on Friday evening (August 29). In a post on Facebook, Doctor Brown's, which is in Higher Road, said the man was 'chased into our bar'.

The post, which was shared on the bar's Facebook page less than two hours after the incident, refers to another recent incident at the bar. Previous posts reveal that the incident two weeks ago involved some people 'kicking off' and later returning to 'smash the door'.

The bar said that the two incidents were not related. In the post, the bar wrote: "We are all safe and sound at Dr Browns.
