The Parrots and Margaritas 5K kicked off one of many events during the four-day “Just a Few Friends Festival,” honoring the life, legacy and music of Jimmy Buffett.

“It encompasses all kinds of events from this to a Margarita stroll to historic walks culminating with the second line on Sunday — second line being a traditional New Orleans funeral march,” organizer Kertis said. “I will follow back concert in our park.”

Paul, an attendee added, “And we’re not just an event just playing music. We’re getting tours, lectures. There’s something for everybody. We’re family friendly.”
